We are looking for a passionate AI Researcher / NLP Data Scientist, who owns NLP projects end to end, takes research to production, and is not afraid of getting hands dirty with complex pipelines, dirty data and all the real-life productionization

Responsibilities

• Develop a wide spectrum of cutting-edge NLP solutions:
  • Clustering, Classification, Summarization, Agentic Workflows
• Blend NLP experience with classical ML for:
  • Time Series forecasting, anomaly detection, uncertainty estimation, hypothesis checking, and more
• Build end-to-end proof-of-concepts of new ML / NLP / Data-focused projects
• Improve and maintain data pipeline reliability, rotate on-calls for data pipeline

We are in the early stage, so the amount of work in different directions is overflowing. Examples of what else can get onto your plate:

• Make things work. Even very hard things.
• Create endpoints on the backend to accelerate your model-to-production path
• Update an old prompt that no longer functions well and spend half a day tuning it, as nothing really works
• Make a hotfix deployment of the API
• Label the data of your algorithm to improve it
• Hire a part-timer to help you with annotation for a specific task
• Stay on-call in case your colleague’s laptop dies
• Create a dash / streamlit app to proof concept
• Make history and impact!

• Proficiency in Python and related libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, pandas) is required.
• Transformers, NLP and LLM stack: transformers, torch, sentence-transformers, semantic search, topic modeling, RAG, Triton, Model Quantization, llama
• 5 years of hands-on experience in building, productionizing, reiterating, failing, and rebuilding NLP models and pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of classical ML and statistics: time series, statistical tests, clustering, visualization, validation, optimization, anomaly detection.
• Good of SQL, ability to write complex queries to extract the data, understand it, clean dirty datasets.
• Ability to take your work to the finish line, unblock yourself, and present the results to the leadership objectively and trustworthily.
• Staying on top of recent trends, LLM fine-tuning experience that is rooted in research and hands-on experience (not comparing OpenAI API vs Gemini API).
• Strong knowledge of computer science and understanding of how web services function.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and Elasticsearch is a big plus.
• Prompt engineering master and creative thinker
• Experience with processing voice data is a plus.
