Our product is a high-margin and fast-growing SaaS business with a usage-based pricing model operated by a stellar team of 70+ fully remote people across 20+ countries. Founded in early 2020, SOAX has won the hearts of 1000+ data-hungry organizations across the globe with its core product — robust infrastructure for public data collection (a.k.a Residential Rotating Back-connect Proxy Network).

We are in the process of creating a new generation of Proxy Services and are looking for a talented Data Engineer to help us develop and maintain our ETL processes. Other responsibilities include connecting new data sources, selecting appropriate data schemas for storage, and writing tasks for DevOps.

As the first Data Engineer in the company, you'll be part of a growing team of skilled professionals working to manage our data pipelines, storage, and infrastructure. We strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone can thrive.

Tasks

• Mastering data processes - collaborating with stakeholders, data consumers, and data providers to enhance the value of data while reducing costs.
• Strive to become a Center of Excellence in Product Data.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs for data accuracy, integrity, and stability.
• Provide support for streaming and ETL-based data pipelines. Choose the most suitable storage and structure for optimal performance and scalability.
• Work with Clickhouse, Kafka, Airflow, Redash, Tableau.

Your background

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in Data Engineering with strong skills in SQL and Python
• Capable of gathering and analyzing business requirements
• Skilled in solving complex problems
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn, fail, reflect, and apply learnings moving forward
• Curiosity and strong collaboration skills - You enjoy learning new things.
