Responsibilities

About the Role

This role is part of Incode’s Document Intelligence team, the group behind our industry-leading document processing technology. Our solutions power the parsing of identity documents worldwide — passports, visas, driver’s licenses, proof of address, and more — and are trusted by some of the largest enterprises on the market.

A critical part of this pipeline is entity extraction: the process of reading fields from documents and mapping them into structured entities. Your mission will be to improve the components driving entity extraction, making them more accurate, stable, and adaptable — even when dealing with poorly structured or unfamiliar document types.

Your responsibilities:

  • Own entity extraction models: evaluate performance, identify gaps, and propose improvements
  • Drive research and innovation: explore new methods and approaches to improve accuracy and robustness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: work closely with analytics, business operations, and product teams to align technical improvements with business needs

Requirements

  • Excellent Python engineering skills, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and scalable code
  • Deep expertise in computer vision, with proven experience applying it to real-world problems
  • Hands-on research experience: ability to read papers, identify state-of-the-art solutions, and turn them into working systems
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities
  • Proactive problem solver, comfortable delivering practical solutions in production-grade environments

Working conditions

  • Work remotely or from the office in Belgrade/Madrid
  • Flexible working hours
  • Open vacation policy (no strict limit)
  • Strong ML team: 30+ members, mostly senior-level
  • Stock options

💡 If you’re a highly skilled specialist with salary expectations beyond our limit, we’re always open to discussing it!
