CTO, co-founder

We need someone who thinks architecturally and systematically, understands data-driven products and external APIs, is willing to take full responsibility for technical decisions.

As a CTO, you will:

• own the entire technical side of the product, with final technical decision-making authority
• be responsible for architecture, technological solutions, and quality
• partner with founders on product and strategic issues

Your Ability:

• build a dream IT team from scratch, and we will help
• select a technology stack at the start of development

Arie is a travel and leisure planning startup built around mapping, personalization, and explainable recommendations. MVP 0 has already been implemented. We're now looking for a CTO to take full technical leadership and help transform the MVP into a scalable product.

Key Responsibilities:

• develop and support product architecture (frontend, backend, data, AI)
• manage business logic, data, and system invariants
• work with external APIs and constraints (limits, cost, stability)
• participate in the development of RecSys personalization and recommendation algorithms
• ensure performance, stability, and scalability
• participate in team building and engineering processes
• infrastructure control
• building a development process from scratch
• ensuring process transparency and reliability

Required

• Experience designing complex backend or full-stack systems
• Understanding the architecture of data-driven products
• Experience working with external services and APIs
• Systems thinking and the ability to justify decisions
• Willingness to be hands-on at an early stage

A big plus

• Experience with startups or early-stage products
• Experience with AI / recommendation / geography / travel systems
• Understanding of product thinking, not just engineering
